RHN, Head Chef & Kitchen Manager

Justin is experienced in working in various restaurants, yet his sincerest passion for food started when he embarked on his own health journey. He began to prepare deeply nourishing meals and discovered the profound connection between food and the way he felt, in both body and mind. This experience of the foods mind-body connection sparked his interest and inevitable career path. Shortly after, Justin graduated from the Culinary Arts University at VIU where he emersed himself in the traditional foundations of culinary principles and learnt culinary management skills. Loving the path that he was on, he continued his education, becoming a Registered Holistic Nutritionist at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.  Justin believes that good food should be both delicious and nutritious, allowing the people he serves to experience that good food can lead to good health.

With the help of his kitchen staff at The Healing Institue, he uses his unique skill set to develop and create nourishing meals using locally sourced ingredients. Justin is passionate about helping our guests heal through food and live their best lives. He feels grateful to be at service doing the two things he loves most.
