Mandy Deering

Registered Nurse

Mandy boasts an extensive 15-year career as a Registered Nurse. Before obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Biology and Human Anatomy. Her diverse nursing experience spans various fields, including Mental Health, Medicine, Surgery, Operating Rooms, and Nephrology.

In her earlier years, Mandy served as a Wildland Firefighter during her university days and later transitioned into a Volunteer City Firefighter role in the Comox Valley. She holds an advanced First Responder Ticket and achieved certification as a First Aid Instructor for the City Fire Department. Her interactions with a wide array of clients and healthcare professionals have equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of trauma and its far-reaching impact on individuals from all walks of life.

Mandy takes great pride in her role as a valued team member at the Healing Institute on Forbidden Plateau.
